Split and Trogir
We moved down the coast towards Split and went to a campsite on the island near Trogir. The pitch is 3 m from the beach overlooking the bay.
We walked into Trogir and had a look around and decided we would stop for 2 weeks or so as the weather was ideal about 25c and full sun most days. Dropping to 13c at night.
From Trogir we went via boat to Split for the day. A fantastic old city with some building dated to 300 AD.
We also did a 3 island trip which when out to Maslinica is a port village on the island of Šolta then to the Blue lagoon for some swimming in the crystal waters and finally back to a restaurant on the south side of our island of Čiovo . We had mackerel BBQ and Croatian cabbage salad.
While on the camp we met 2 english couple one from Hebden Bridge and the other from Poole. Its nice to find out first had what other are up to. One setting off back and the other heading south for a while. We also met a very nice Australian/ northwich couple at the end of our 2 weeks on the site. Jean is not happy to be leaving. Its still 23C and full sun at the moment.
