Antequera

This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Antequera Dolmens are a collection of megalithic monuments (structures made using only large interlocking stones without the use of mortar) based in the region of Antequera, Andalusia.

Antequera has a long and fascinating history; it has been a settlement since the native Iberians of the Bronze Age. Since then it has been a sought after location by every invading force, which has afforded the town a great diversity of historical interest: burial mounds, dolmens, Roman baths, a Moorish castle, Gothic churches, Renaissance fountains and baroque bell towers. While we were there we found our brake pads had worn out. So an extra day and a trip on Gladys on a low loader.
