Mânoaia and Suceava
Moving north we stopped at a couple of sites a lovely one at Mânoaia with lots of horse drawn carts and a nice quiet park.
We headed north again to see the Medieval Seat Fortress of Suceava castle was built during the late 14th century during the reign of Petru Mușat. It was subsequently more fortified in the time of Alexander I and Stephen III During the Late Middle Ages, it was part of a system of medieval strongholds built by the Moldavian monarchs in order to withstand the expansionist threat of the Ottoman Empire. In 1565 it was destroyed only to be rebuilt 300 years later.
Next door is a museum with houses and a church put together in a village. Still 35C so a little warm. We also saw the statue to Stephen the Great (III).
