Alcañiz

Alcañiz is a town and municipality of Teruel province in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. The town is located on the banks of the river Guadalope. We stopped in the town at a motorhome parking. Nice quiet night after a day driving in the rain. In the morning we had time to walk in the town and up to the Castillo de los Calatravos is a castle located in Alcañiz ( Teruel ), in Aragon , Spain , which belonged to the Order of Calatrava . This military order had an important role in the reconquest of the town in 1157.

We then drove south down some old and new roads on the N-232 down to the coast to pick up the new free AP-7.
