Château de Chenonceau

After the campsite we headed south over the hill about 15 Miles. To Cher, near the small village of Chenonceaux, Indre-et-Loire, Centre-Val de Loire. It is one of the best-known châteaux of the Loire Valley. The estate of Chenonceau is first mentioned in writing in the 11th century. The river also in full flood. The grounds are very busy and a 10am the earliest we could visit the châteaux was 17.15. It's a good idea to book in advavced. 17.15 visit to the châteaux was great quite busy but a long look around the building.

We then headed for our camping card stop in Vatan about 40 miles away.
